Prior to founding Sookasian Amirkhanian Law Group, APC, Mr. Sookasian had the benefit of working in prestigious law firms, where part of his experience included representing insurance companies and large employers. This gives Mr. Sookasian the unique ability to analyze his client’s cases from all angles.
Armen Amirkhanian
Armen Amirkhanian is an experienced litigation attorney specializing in all aspects of workers compensation law. Mr. Amirkhanian has extensive trial experience before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board and is a skillful trial attorney who is never intimidated to advocate for his client’s needs. Mr. Amirkhanian has built a reputation for his ability to maximize his client’s recovery through the use of doctor depositions and cross examinations. Throughout his career Mr. Amirkhanian has secured numerous large sum settlements and favorable trial decisions.
Reneh Sepanosian
Prior to joining Sookasian Amirkhanian Law Group, APC, Mr. Sepanosian worked as a defense attorney in the largest insurance litigation law firm in Los Angeles. There, he gained extensive knowledge of how insurance companies approach personal injury claims and quickly discovered that big insurance companies were taking advantage of people with valid claims. He wanted to change that, so he decided to assist Plaintiffs in their claims against the insurance giants.
When he is not zealously advocating for the rights of his clients, Mr. Sepanosian enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
Christina Barron
Christina Barron has been handling Workers’ Compensation claims advocating for applicants for over 30 years. She has been successful in handling a vast variety of small claims to multi-million dollar injury claims. Christina Barron is currently the Office Manager as well as Case Manager for Sookasian Amirkhanian Law Group.
When she is not diligently fighting for applicant’s rights, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and serving her community.
Diego Plasencia
Diego S. Plasencia is an experienced, knowledgeable, and aggressive Workers’ Compensation Hearing Representative. He has been representing injured workers for twenty-nine years. He has a passion for Workers’ Compensation and is an advocate for the injured worker. He fights to obtain maximum results for his clients. Mr. Plasencia earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Whittier College. He continues his education by attending conventions provided by the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association, and has done so yearly since 1995.
Mr. Plasencia has successfully argued countless cases before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. He is experienced at all levels of litigation, including hearings, trials, depositions, and arbitrations.
Aren Tahmasian
Prior to joining Sookasian Amirkhanian Law Group, APC, Mr. Tahmasian worked as a paralegal for various law firms specializing in family law, personal injury, real-estate, and construction law. At these firms, he gained negotiation skills by engaging in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance adjustors. Mr. Tahmasian also gained extensive knowledge in the legal process by handling cases from inception to completion.
Mr. Tahmasian earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of La Verne, College of Law. During law school, Mr. Tahmasian also interned at an intellectual property law firm, utilizing his undergraduate science degree and background in learning how to analyze and file patents for inventors. He was also part of his law school’s trial team, where he competed, scoring 4th place in the National Trial Team Competition in San Diego, California during 2016.
When he is not advocating for the rights of his clients, Mr. Tahmasian enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
Vahe Baghdasarian
Prior to joining Sookasian Amirkhanian Law Group, APC., Mr. Baghdasarian worked as a hearing representative for seven years at a well-established Workers’ Compensation law firm. There, he had the opportunity to work on both defense and applicant cases, gaining the unique experience of seeing both perspectives of a claim. This experience propelled him ahead of most other hearing representatives who have not seen both sides of a Workers’ Compensation claim.
Mr. Baghdasarian is currently attending his 3rd year of law school where he has already been selected as a student scholar by his law school’s Dean. During the small amount of free time he has, Mr. Baghdasarian loves to spend time with his wife, their two fur babies named Zorro and Zoe, and his friends.
